About Faux and Mural Artist in Portland Oregon
Hello and welcome to PortlandMurals.com My name is Brian Holt and I grew up in Georgia but I have always loved the Pacific Northwest. In 2020 I finally got the chance to move out here and if I'm not on a ladder painting I'm hiking in this beautiful country of ours. This online portfolio of mine represents some of the commissions I have undertaken and other personal favorites. I design and paint murals, venetian plaster, gold leaf, faux bois and other specialty finishes. I received my Bachelor's Degree in 1994 and since 1998 I have been producing one of a kind works and perfecting new techniques and mastering old ones.
I produce murals designed specifically to meet personal interests and budget. Working closely with all of my clients and encourage input. As a result, a stimulating and exciting space is created in line with my high standards and enthusiasm for the work. I often work alongside an interior designer to ensure the murals and specialty finishes complement the designer's style and scheme for the project.

The Finishing
Touches
I'm a perfectionist and it shows in my final touches. I tape off and clean everything so you don't have to do anything but enjoy the artwork.
I work closely with clients to bring their vision to life. If possible I will use images of the proposed mural and superimpose it onto a picture of the proposed location.
I have many samples of different faux finishes but I make a custom sample in your color of choice when possible so you know exactly what it will look like.
